I’m Taylor Woodward, CFA, and I serve as an Investment Counsellor with RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel. I work with a select group of clients, including individuals, families, corporations, and institutions, to craft tailored strategies that balance income, growth, and capital preservation while staying aligned with what matters most to them.
Before joining PH&N, I spent more than a decade in wealth management, including with Canada’s largest asset manager. Earlier in my career, I worked in the not-for-profit sector with international charities. During that time, I had the privilege of collaborating with many talented and passionate people, but I also saw how even experienced leaders often lacked a strong foundation in financial literacy. That realization motivated me to focus my career on helping individuals and institutions become better stewards of their wealth, empowering them to align their resources with their values and long-term purpose.
I believe there is no single formula for success. Whether I am working with an institution or a family, I take pride in building lasting relationships and developing strategies that integrate investment, tax, estate, and legacy considerations. My goal is to bring clarity, simplicity, and purpose to every client’s financial picture.
I hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and am a member of the Toronto CFA Society. I also serve on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee of Outward Bound Canada, a national charity that fosters leadership, resilience, and connection to the natural world through transformative outdoor education.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking overly complex meals with my wife Carly and our children, Tessa and Mac.
As an Investment Counsellor, I strive to combine institutional discipline and oversight with a personal, values-driven approach. I believe the true value of wealth lies not only in its growth but in how that growth supports what you care about, today and for generations to come.
